This year's fair is sure to have something fun for everyone, young and old. The week kicks off with 4-H and FFA art hall and livestock entries with judging throughout the week. Come on down and support the local youth and see their projects!

KMEM and the fair board are working together to bring the Colgate Country Showdown to the 2010 Scotland County Fair. Singers will compete to win the competition at the Scotland County Fair and advance to the next level. Mark your calendars for an evening of great entertainment!
Friday night marks the return of a singing act to the Scotland County Fair. Trailer Choir will be performing at 8:00 p.m. that evening, with Brooke Mullinex of Downing opening at 7:00 p.m. They are know for their singles; "Off the Hillbilly Hook", "Rockin' the Beer Gut" and their new release, "Rollin' Through the Sunshine". New to the fair this year will be the Mud Bog on Saturday afternoon, put on by R & K Fire and Ice of St. Francisville, MO. If you have never seen a mud bog, you will want to make plans to attend this event.
The fair will be having a carnival this year. Fun Time Shows will be opening at 6:00 p.m.on Tuesday evening with 8 assorted rides, various games and concessions stands. Advance armbands will go on sale beginning May 1 through June 19 for $12 each. Armbands will be available at the ticket booth each day for $15 each from 6:00 p.m to 10:00 p.m.during the fair. A new armband must be used each day from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Regular tickets may also be purchased at the ticket booth and must be used before 10:00 p.m. each night. There will be a special mantinee on Saturday after noon from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Please watch this website for more details.
Three favorites will be returning to the 2010 Scotland County Fair. On Wednesday Three favorites will be returning to the 2010 Scotland County Fair. On Wednesday evening there will be the Go Cart races, on Thursday evening there will be the car races and on Saturday evening, the demolition derby. Don't miss these events!
This will be the second year for the open cattle and sheep/goat show at the Scotland County fair. There will also be an open hog show. The hog show will be on Friday morning, followed by the sheep/goat show in the afternoon and the cattle show beginning at 6:30 p.m.. This will be a day you won't want to miss.
As always, there will be great food(the Rotary will be cooking their famous bbq on Friday evening), fun entertainment and livestock and art hall projects for your viewing. The beer tent will be open nightly with live musical entertainment following the grandstand events. There will be displays from area organizations and groups providing information on their specific area of interest.
